I've finally discovered the reason why I am so afraid of going to college. The funny thing is, I think I've always known. When people ask if I am excited about leaving high school I always say no,and then tell them some lie as an explanation- I don't want to pay my own taxes, I don't want to be away from my parents, I don't want to cook my own food. I have finally come to terms with my true fear- I don't want to lose those who are dear to me… I don't want to the lose the friends who I worked so hard to gain, the friends who I worked so hard to keep, and who have been through so much with me. I guess I have always had a problem with letting people go. I know now that there are some people who you must let go, there are some people who aren't worth fighting for, and there are some people who make your world a brighter place. Those people, who have gone through many trials with you, whom you have made so many memories with, those are the people who are the hardest to let go. Thus, my fear of being alone runs rampant, and I cling as tightly as I can, because, I guess I just don't knwo how to let go.
